You can deal direct with the mortgage company. I have a mortgage and have never spoken to an IFA in my life.

Thanks. I actually think you can get a better deal when you Don't use an IFA! They get paid from the provider, and are (most of the time) never set up with the mortgage company with the best mortgage product!

Yes, shop around. Should you find yourself seeking help or advice from a mortgage provider, remember that they are supposed to tell you that they recommend and sell only their 'products'
