Christine sweetheart, I'm afraid there is nothing that can be done now. This is going to sound very harsh but I went through it with my 15 year old cat 7 years ago. He was wobbling all over the place and his eyes were flickering. I took him to the vets and I was told he had kidney failure and would have to be put down the next day. I was devastated but it had to be done.

Your friend needs to take the cat to the vet before it starts to suffer even more. Sorry xxx
Tell her to shoot it.
Lucy Thomas that is uncalled for
Babybow, that is uncalled for.

Maybe Lucy Thomas lives in a country where the humane solution would be simply to shoot it.

Everybody is so judgemental in this place.

Lucy-why don't you post your nastiness elswhere.....if you are even moderately intelligent. you know that your response is insensitve at the very least.Maybe you are not a pet lover...but at least try to put yourself in other's shoes.
No Babybow, a typo which I ignore in other posts. What I highlight are grammatical errors and obvious misspellings.

Although I suppose you wouldn't be intelligent enough to spot those.
Pastafreak. I could, but where would the fun be in that
Maybe Lucy should have a thread for herself
"I love Lucy" bullet proof of course
Now there's an idea!
Lucy Thomas, This is a site where pet lovers come to get sensible advice about their pet problems so what on earth are you doing on here?
Back to the question..... I lost my old cat 3 weeks ago to kidney faliure, he deteriated over a month he went from eating loads as he normally did to then drinking gallons, i took him to the vet they did the same with my cat has they did with your friends, he decided after about three days he had had enough and did not want to eat, there comes a time..... when you know that they have had a great life lived for 18 years and thats over a hundred in people years that its there time, mine would not want to have suffered so i did the kindest thing and put him to sleep, its very very hard but i think i did the right thing by him,
good luck
