The green light on my Goodmans DVD player 148j shows load.but the remote will not open /close drawer to insert disc.

Anyone know whether the remote is faulty or whether there is a manual way of operating. I have put in new batteries to no avail.

All help appreciated.

all the players I've come across have an open/close button on the machine.

try unplugging it for a few minutes to reset it i have to do that with mine sometimes
