Although it's a National Holiday, many of the shopping facilities will be open, including many restaurants, especially in Big D and Ft. Worth.

Many of the "family style" restaurants will have the typical Thanksgiving fare... roast turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy etc.,, and of course Pumpkin pie.

Keep and eye out for "Cracker Barrel" restaurants or "Shoney's" or "Perkins"... they're ubiquitos in the south and quite good for that kind of food... Welcome to the U.S. and Happy Thanksgiving!
