Funny place names...

Has anyone got any amusing place names to report? It might be a village or town that you live in, or somewhere you have heard of. For example, I used to drive through Christmas Pie on a regular basis!

I was going to mention Piddletrenthide but someone's beaten me to it.  I remember a news report from the USA (or possibly Canada?) several years ago which referred to a town called Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump.  When I was in Germany we visited a town called �d.

Skenactady and Oneonta NY always made me laugh. Intercourse, Hempfield, Pottsville, Turkey City, Mars, and Danville (dan is my husbands name) PA. Chicken, Alaska. Oh, there's also an Eighty Four (town) around here.

Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump is in Alberta, Canada. There is also a Minnew*n*e*r and a Shaganappy Trail there too.

How about "BOLSOVER".... in Derbyshire... the locals call it " Bowser" for some reason...RHODESIA just outside Worksop....We live in a strange Country...!!
