Wasn't it on the first night of Channel 4? And have you noticed how the first night of new channels is never quite as exciting these days?

it was a brilliant observation on a schoolboy's life post war. it is a shame that there is nothing of this quality on tv anymore.

I remember this film as it was made at my school in wimbledon and many of my friends were extras in it. I still have it on vhs. Any idea where i can get a fresh copy of it?
I remember it well. I had left Sylvia Youngs Theatre School by hten and her daughter 'Francis Rafelle' was in it along with a friend Jane Kehoe. A brilliant piece of TV drama.

What a great fil, haven't even been able to get the film on video yet....any ideas where I can get a copy ?
