Planning a family holiday to Florida next July and booking everything on the internet. Colleague at work suggested that I wait until I get there and get my Disneyland tickets at Walmart and that I'll save a fortune compared to booking them through an agency before I go. I've never heard of this before and don't know if he's taking the mickey(excuse the pun). Does anyone know if it's possible to buy tickets at Walmart?
On a previous thread someone mentions Walmart selling Island of Adventure tickets, but I'd be grateful if someone could give me the inside info.
Thanks in anticipation.
PS - Staying at the Quality Inn Plaza on Int Drive so quite handy for freeway.

July is NOT a great time to visit Orlando. It is VERY hot and VERY crowded.

As one web site says

"Unless high humidity, afternoon thunderstorms, and masses of hot and sweaty tourists sound like your ideal vacation, then avoid Orlando in the summer months (June to August)".

I went in February a few years ago for two weeks and we had weather into the 80s and low crowds. Their "winter" is like our summer, and their "summer" is like a sauna.

Walking round theme parks and queueing in that heat is no fun at all.

Unless it is too late I would cosider moving your holiday to another time of the year.
