I have put up the three today, four hours well spent, it looks cool, anyway, I always keep the cards from the previous year, always do, then i use them to compile my Christmas card list. How good a plan has that proved to be, i have found in the christmas boxes the card my grandson;s Godfather sent him last year, it is now enjoying pride of place on the mantlepiece, he had written a lovely message to his 'little buddy' . who knew it would be the last he sent him. It is something that we can keep for ever, how glad am I that I have this organised mind. sorry to be so morbid, we have all been weeping uncontrolably.

Hi dot,
I always get sad at Christmas, more so because of Christmases past than Christmases present.
I have always seen it as a time to reflect on the previous years that have filled me with joy.

This Christmas is sad as I have lost several relatives and friends over the last two years. It is now that I realise what a great gaping hole they have left in my life.
Maybe one day, when I am no longer here I will have that impact, but I realise at this time of year that it is just sadness we leave others.

Enjoy the people that you have around you, and cherish their every moment.
God bless
Missy

That's lovely dot - there are obviously lots of memories there.

My father died very shortly after Christmas having been unconscious since Boxing Day. This was years ago now but the memories are still there.
Don't apologise for feeling sad dot - you have good reason to. Losing someone close is indescribable.

Our eldest sister Amy died suddenly on Christmas day 2005 & we still feel the loss....

Thinking of you.

Hiya dot I lost a daughter on boxing day 1971 long time I know but the memory remains. Luv puss xx
