How do cows eat green grass yet produce white milk?

i don't think it's mucvh to do with eating grass so much as drinking water, cats need to drink more water when they are nursing kittens, no good feeding them milk, can't turn cowsmilk into catsmilk.
Well, curious81, all mammals produce white milk no matter what they eat. Milk is not a direct result of eating.
Milk is an emulsion of fat droplets in water. As fat is white, milk is also white. The green pigments do not affect the colour of the milk.
It's cause by casein which is white and high in calcium and the white fat in cream which is why skimmed milk looks bluey.
