I'm buying a house and need advice on the best way to transfer the �50k-ish deposit from my savings account to the solicitor. Any ideas?

Most people do a CHAPS transfer via their Bank, it will cost c�25.

It depends a lot on what withdrawal facilities your savings account offers - do you have to move it to your current account first for example?
