Hot plug on washer?

As above really... put the washer on and after a while i went into the kitchen and i could smell a slight burning smell near the washer- i touched the plug for some reason and it was quite hot

i unplugged it strait away... Any answers why on this?..

Check the wiring in the plug unless it is one of those "sealed" types.

The socket may also be faulty.

The wiring in the plug may have be come loose or the plug pins may be dirty or tarnished
