someone who owes me and my boyfriend a significant amount of money works for scottish power and he says that no employee of scottish power has been paid for their end October/beginning of November wage.

is there anyway of finding out whether this is true?

it makes matters worse that this person is a family member.

Sorry to have to tell you MiniN
but the end of Octobers salary has already been spent by your family member.

Do everything you can to get your money back as the longer you leave it, the less likely you are to be repaid.

Wish you well

do you work for the company? before i talk to this person, i need to know everything i can so he can't wriggle out of it.

its quite a stressful situation to be honest. the person wrecked my boyfriends car whilst we had been travelling for 3months so he is supposed to be paying us for the car. in the meantime we had to loan money from my parents to buy a car.
Scottish Power is one of the biggest companies in the UK. Not paid employees wages? I dont think so!
I don't know either, but I should imagine if it were true, it would have made the news, and to my knowledge it hasn't.

thanks for all your help, i thought the same that it would make the news or there would be people making noise about it! plus i thought it would be unlikely that such a reputable company would not pay employees their wages.

just wanted to see what other people thought.

thanks
Not sure where you are minin but I am in Scotland and there has been no mention of this on the news so I think this person is telling you porkies, a rather stupid porky at that.
