Last night, around 9.30pm, there was the worst noises from a cat in a fight i have ever heard!
I ran to the front door, opened it and there was a huge white & ginger cat fighting with my Smokie Jo (oldest male cat, 3.5 years and pure muscle!) It was so horrible, I was shouting at them but they wouldnt stop, it was about 2 foot infront of me on the door step.
In the end I called out for my partner who came running and it was only after he shouted a couple of times that they stopped, and ran in different directions, leaving white fur all over the step!
I went out looking for Smokie straight away, couldnt find him, but he still hasnt come home? Im getting worried that he may be scared to come to the front door, he spends half his time in, half out, but always comes in for the night.
He is a big softie at heart, and although there was white fur all over the place, I really dont think he came out Ok as the other cat had his claws right in his head and Smokie didnt sound in a good way at all.

What can I do to gey him to come back? :(
I havent let any of the other cats out since as Im worried the other cat will come back.

At the minute I am wanting to keep my lot in, but that doesnt really seem fair and my poor boy Leo is sat meowing at the front door!
Smokie is cuddled up with the dog at the minute, his eye is a bit sore bt he is very prone to eye infections and often has them so I dont think that is anything to do with last night!
I know theres a chance that the owners dont know what their cat is upto or like, i just hope we find them or something so we can let them know! My neighbour and myself said between us that we would split the cost for nuetering if needed, thats not a problem.
Its a shame, like you say that owners are not legally responsible for what their cats do, but I would of thought that came as part of being a responsible pet owner, I know it does for me! (obviously not all cat owners feel that way though!)
