Presenter made a big point of saying the panel did not see inventions beforehand, maybe but they sure knew a lot more than was explained to us.This programme was most confusing, plastic? balls were dropped into toilet for toddlers to aim at - were they plastic? re-usable? (ugh) or flushed away?, surely this is an obvious point. Then, the child-learning sweets board, just what did it do? how could it possibly be valued at One Million Pounds?. As with all hi-technology, the gambling-alert went over my head. So I had trouble comprehending any of the inventions. Was it me or did anyone else find there was little explanation on the programme which leads me to think that either they knew beforehand or the explanations were edited out.

balls...pretty self explanatory. pull them out, yes........yuk!

child learning sweets board.......explanation not in edit. totally flumoxed me also. they did demand an explanation, but we didnt hear it

gambling alert...I know what it is, but I can see how many would not. gaming sites have special events, this would show you them, and draw you to them. As if anyone would download it haha. enough advertising as it is. shrewd kids though

Not as well explained as normal. Liked the dolls though!

Great show, very insipiring.

Loved the scottish guy's swipe at Deborah 'now that's she's finished her verbal attack!!!!!!!!!!!!' Absolutely right, it was an atrocious attack. He's just trying to show you something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's your invention, tit-4-tat? Mine's an everlasting gobstopper...
The programme is heavily edited, so the chancecs are, the Dragons ask far more questions and get in-depth answers, but they simply show what are considered the 'best' bits for a relatively short programme.

habits die hard also. Imagine them at 25, first job, at the interview asking if it's ok if they use their balls in the toilet. ...............
andyhughes is right - the pitches put to the Dragon's are around 2 hours in length each - these then get edited down for viewing on the show.
Tit-4-tat, I agree I didn't think it was made clear about the toilet balls. I think encouraging anybody to delve into a toilet to retrieve what amounts a rubber / plastic ball with a face on it is not exactly a brilliant invention. I really really could not get my head around that one, but then I am neither an investor or mother who has experienced toilet training (yet!).

As for the sweets board, I, too, sat there annoying hubby with "But I judt don't get it! What exactly is she selling?!". As far as I could see her idea was numbers, letters and other demonstrations that helped children to learn..... When I was at school we used to cut numbers and letter out of paper, does this count as copyright?

I lost interest with the gambling website one because I thought that they were cheeky asking for money when they already have a successful business, I like the money going to weird and wonderful people who have spend decades locked in a room to emerge with something random and brilliant that nobody has thought of before (i.e. not dropping a ball in a toilet).
Each presentation is 2 HOURS long? If you combine that 2 hours with the number of dragons multiplied by how much each of their skills are worth for that amount of time........that's worth more than they're lending.........easily
Im fed up of telling my 5yr old grandson to make sure he aims for the water when he goes to my loo for a wee.
Its usually all over the seat or floor.
I think the small blue balls put into the toilet bowl to be used as a target to aim at, are a brilliant idea. If I see them on sale I will be definately be buying some.
Simple ideas are often the best.
