via a single digital cable, any normal rca to rca should do.
That would only give 2 channel audio, although through all 6 channels if set up properly. If your dvd player doesn't have audio outputs for rear and centre channels then chances are it doesn't support 6 channel audio. If it does, connect up all the matching channels with the inputs on your 6 channel amp.
There are generally 3 ways: You can use an optical cable (though hi-fi purists will claim that the sound is too clinical), another option is co-axial, or a third is connecting the output sockets on the back of your DVD to the inputs on your amp. It depends on what connections your equipment has. If you can find weblinks to pictures of the backs of your amp and player, then someone could probably give you some better advice. (If you just have an "all-in-one" box, then the speakers just plug into the player as appropriate; just make sure that you connect them correctly and that they are positioned correctly - the manual should explain the best positioning).
