Can anybody tell me the name of a tune played at some of the rugby games by the band that is in the stadium crowd and plays through some of the games?

The tune sounds like trumpet raleigh call and is only a few seconds long, and after it is played the crowd always cheer... it was played quite a lot during the Scotland, Argentina game...

I'm pretty sure the one you are thinking of is played by bands at French rugby games. There is always a band from Dax (think that's how you spell it) which plays througout the match. I went to see Wales play in Paris a few years ago and they played Delilah, which was all we had to cheer that day! The crowd actually shout "Ole" after that call. Bear in mind that most French rugby is played in south-west France in Basque country.
