The incoming setting will be something like:

pop3.yahoo.co.uk

And the outgoing:

smtp.yahoo.co.uk

I don't know what the Yahoo ones are but that shouldn't be far off. The other settings are really self explanatory.

Thanks both of you it now works.

My Mrs is trying to set it up on her account but for some reason it wont except her user name/ password, she can log in directly from yahoo, but not outlook. we have checked the settings and made sure the username and password are both correct which they are.

Any ideas?
I have an idea that yahoo, like hotmail, will not work with email fetchers such as outlook - because they are free and dependent on advertising so they demand you access the emails directly so you see the ads.

I look forward to others opinions.

my yahoo address would never configure with outlook or any other mail programme I wanted it to - I gave up in the end

My problem is it keeps asking for the network password, I put it in but it keeps asking for it. then after a few times it comes up as a failed signed on I was looking on Yahoo Answers and somebody said you have to subcribe to Yahoo Plus in order for it to work. which is $12.99 per year. which in the Uk its will be about 6.50 per year.
Question Author
Sorry that should read 11.99 per year, it was in pounds not dollars. But again its ripoff Britain aint it, for some reason uk companies that trade in both the US/UK are displaying the goods at the same price as the US for example the US price $11.99 uk price 11.99 they only problem is that the US dollar is worth half of the Uk pound, so it should be realistically be about 6.50. not 11.99.
