Please can anyone shed any light on this for me please? I live in a block of flats, with walls like paper! - my neighbour downstairs,a 30 yr old woman, who lives with her father (who by the way, goes a way a lot and leaves her to her own devices at the weekend) walks constantly around in high heels from 6.30 in the morning till whenever. She moves heavy furniture very late at night, and every weekend has her boyfriend in for very loud sex, and chats. This all occurs only when her father is away, but there is nothing when he is in the flat. She doesnt seem very approachable, as when we first moved in, she came up to complain about my son bouncing a ball ont the floor,(which lasted a couple of seconds),and I was very upset by her unfriendliness and rudeness. We are very considerate neighbours and I am always fully aware of being courteous to her, and never wearing high heels, but these days I am feeling very tempted to give her some of her own medicine! I joke aside, but also another thing when I have company, the next night, she seems tobe in competition and has 'rent a crowd' just to do 'one better'. Please help as this is driving me mad.

hi, well I spent all day practically trying to get through to my housing association to complain about them upstairs, I was at work so it was difficult, but I am going to try tomorrow. What a surprise they are quiet like mice tonight and yesterday. Sorry but I am not taking any more rubbish from them, I do nothing to warrant them behaving like that, they have been warned twice now. I so tired and Ive got to get up for work really early tomorrow. Iam also going to find out if I have to ring the local noise nuisance office or my local office. Hey ho - hows your nice neighbour going?
Neighbour has been tattooing every local i think. There seems to be hundreds of people coming and going. Well... thats what it feels like. She must be raking the money in. Don't know if she is meant to be using the council house to work from but hey it's just another thing to fight back with . I sound like a right b!tch but i'm not really. I can only take all the sh!t for so long and then i snap. Have you managed to get help from anyone?

Hi, i spoke to my housing association nuisance team, and they were useless. they just said Ive got to keep a diary, or if it gets really bad ring my local council noise nuisance team, which I intend on doing. I should have done it on Sat really, but Im quite scared of them upstairs, there's a few guys, and they bang their feet on the ceiling in a really scarey way, like they're trying to spook me out. Great so they can get away with it basically, they'll probably try and do the same this sat, cos they've had no comeback., they are in for a surprise though, cos Ive had enough of this, and definitely going to ring someone.Ive decided to leave t his area I am living, its dangerous and my neighbours seem to have noise issues...
I think that they have more than noise issues. If it gets really bad on saturday, lift the phone and report them. How long do you think it'll take you to move away? It's a pity that it's you thats got to have the hassle of moving but i know that you can only take the crap for so long before it starts affecting everything not just the lack of sleep.
How's the neighbours?
If she can be quiet when Dad is around, tape record the noises & give the tape to Dad! She might not be bothered by anyone else but she's obviously bothered to keep in his good books.

There's just the chance she may not realise how loud it is herself.

Good luck.
