If I write to a prisoner will it reach him

Even though I do not know what prison he is in? Thanks in advance. Would I just address the envelope with his full name to HMP Cardiff or wherever I think he is likely to be held?

...I doubt if it would get to him, you will need a prisoner ID number for him to get the letter....

Assuming that the prisoner wants to hear from you (because he has to consent to his location being divulged), you can find him through the Prisoner Location Service:
