If the bailiffs have been contacted and are demanding immediate payment of council tax or I will be placed with a warrant for my arrest do i have to pay up front immediately? I owe last years which i paid yesterday and then the year coming

Apologies if this is stating the obvious, but have you been speaking to the council? I've always found that if you explain that you're having problems with the payment, the council are willing to sort something out with you. Putting a bailiff - court judgement into action costs them more money, so they're usually willing to compromise. Whatever you do, don't avoid it. Councils see non-communication as non-payment.
