Is anybody out there from Paisley? I need a copy of the Paisley Daily Express article shown in the link:

http://icrenfrewshire.icnetwork.co.uk/pde/news /tm_headline=beam-paul-up-to-become-scotty&met hod=full&objectid=19844790&siteid=63858-name_p age.html

Can anybody send me this page of the newspaper - three if possible. I think it is from the edition on Tuesday 25 September 2007 - but it may have been the Monday edition.

I can pay postage etc costs. We need it for the campaign records.

Thanks

Susan

Morning susan, your are up early or late! Sorry dont live near Paisley but I am sure if you contacted the newspaper they would post you the relevant pages. Incidentally, apparently Scotty was from Linlithgow in Scotland (where I am at the minute) and last week they put up a plaque to 'commerate' where he was born in 2027 or something, loads of Trekkies were here and his last wife too, it was a big deal of this little town.

Can you imagine - some poor wee sprog will be getting called Montgomery Scott in 2027!

It is funny Sci-Fi fans are a bit more obsessive than other types of fans. Can you imagine going to a convention for "Silent Witness" or something like that?

I embrace my inner geek!

I am up because I was rudely awakened by somebody chewing my toes. Cat teeth are sharp. The two terrors have now been fed and watered and are trashing the living room.

Just thinking - in years to come what do you think historians will make of a plaque put up in 2007 for a birth 20 years later?!

Oops, got that wrong, his birth date is 2222, now as a Trekkie you should have known that! Well since I am up early too, would you like me to go round and pinch it for you? I have a screwdriver and a ladder at the ready, just say the word.

I am sure that it won't last - it will be on Ebay soon.

I love Star Trek - but all the characters were 'perfect'. Stargate Atlantis is a little bit more realistic. It is just a shame that they killed off the only Scot on the programme.

The cats are fighting over something stupid - typical siblings. They are indoor cats and run around during the night, I think that the people down stairs think that they are tigers or lions with the noise they make. I have two floors in my flat and the stairs must be faulty - either that or they are the noisiest cats in the planet. The two of them thundering down the stairs sounds like a herd or rampaging elephants.

It is nice to know there is another human being up in Scotland (I am in Perth). Anyway I am off back to my bed - and I am going to sleep and sleep and sleep.

Phew, that took longer than I thought, the plaque wasn't on the outside of the building it was on the inside so had to break in. So how much do you reckon I could get on e-bay for it?

LOL, they sound like my brothers cats. I was staying at his one night and the noise of them was unbelieveable, you would have thought there was a herd of elephants in the room, thumps, bumps, things being knocked off shelves. Now I know why they lie around all day doing sod all, they are too knackered from their nocturnal antics!
Hi

I'm from Paisley but unfortunately I can't help you because I now live in near London.

PS I'd go to a Silent Wtness convention if Ms Fox was going to be there ;)

Haggisdj - I take it you are male. I think that she looks like a rdeer caught in a car's headlights. Big eyes and with a vacant expression. Meow, bitch, meow.

Thanks anyway.
