Yes our local chippie does them, and battered snickers bars as well

i'm in colchester in Essex no chippies will even try and cook one 4 me and i have no idea how to make 1
Just googled it out of curiosity and it looks like they do them on the Royal Mile for the tourists!!
Our local chippy does them , we are just in scotland, they also do irish curry and I'm too scared to ask what that is.
On holiday recently in Pevensey Sussex and there's a chippy there near the station that does them.
Awww ive never tried one!! Always wanted to!! Used to work in a pub where the cheif used to make them in his previous workplace!! gutted!! Does anyond know how to do them yourself at home? ALot of people do???
was this phenonemon first invented in Glasgow?
sure legend would know all about it
I used to work in a chippy. My boss would fry off a battered mars bar if someone came in with one that had to be unopened. This was so there was no contamination. He would unwrap it himself, dip it in batter and fry it off. (For a small fee) so why not go into your local chippy and ask? rather than look for it on the menu?
Taliesin, I asked in our local and they said that the most important thing was to make sure it was hard frozen before frying it! They said they had loads of kids coming in telling them that they tried it at home and ruined the deep fat frier cos it melted all over it!

So try freezing one, battering it and deep fat frying it!
