Hello, not sure which heading to put this question into,Its rather strange.......but here goes,...... I've recently come across some sort of fungi that was growing behind our downstairs toilet, underneath our floor. It felt slippery in texture, and smelt alot like mushroom!! We have noticed there to be a dripping sound coming from the waste pipe in the same toilet for a few weeks now aswell. Not sure if it has anything to do with that or not!! The stub of the fungi is still growing underneath our plastic floor(not huge), after picking some of it away. If anybody can help with suggestions of what it might be it would be greatly appreciated or if anybody has witnessed anything similar before, please let me know.

you sound like a "fun guy" however, the problem is damp related/ I myself would have the floor up to tackle the root cause.
The surface problem is due to overspray (as us bloked never aim that well)
I prescribe a good dose of strong bleach or jays fluid to kill, the spores. I certainly would not touch the growth.
Regards
It may be dry rot, a fungus which attacks timber. Have it checked out by a professional. Dry rot can be difficult and expensive to eradicate once it has spread.
