aww photos are a great idea! you can buy books, dvds etc relatively cheap online and you can always use a price comparison site to find things cheaper. Heres one for dvds

new grand parents, aunts, uncles etc love photos, get them put on mugs, cushions or just nice frames.lots of options

hmmmm...that could be an idea, photos put onto novelty things!!
How about lottery tickets or scratch cards?
Question Author
knowing my luck they'd win thousands of pounds and i'd be really gutted that i didn't keep them......the last time i bought a lottery ticket for a friends birthday he won 55!!! Great for him, but i've never even won a tenner on that in my life!!
Get yourself down to Boots their summer sale consists of mainly last years christmas gifts. some of them where about 1/4 of their original price.

that sounds like a good idea....but can i justify spending money on xmas presents in August when i should be saving my money and buying baby stuff?

Awwww....maybe i should buy lottery tickets for myself!!!
Speak to siblings, aunts, uncles and friends and tell them you can't afford to buy for them and just buy for parents, partner, grandparents.
Also they did have some baby stuff in the sale at Boots.
If your really struggling to buy things for your baby go on http://www.freecycle.org/ there may be someone giving away something you could use.

oh yeah, someone told me about that website in work....thats a really good idea. Thanks
Right, going back a few years we were broke. I cleaned out some baked bean tins ( and the like) made christmas cakes in them and then iced them individually with peoples names etc. They went down really, really well, each person had their own and it wasn't like a huge cake that everyone is still eating in February. Pick up some icing ideas from books in the library and if you put alcohol in the mixture you could make it now and it'll keep til Xmas, so less hassle when you have had the baby (when you'll have absolutely no time to yourself!!)

Good luck

Try "The Book People" for great offers on books. They always have various bundles of 10 or 12 good children's books. If you have lots of kids to buy for, you can split them all up and give 2 or 3 each. Same for adults too!! Have a look online - I think you get a discount ordering that way too.

Good luck with everything (baby included of course...!)

xx
