I chopped a chilli last night and the "burn" is still on my fingers. Which isn't really annoying me as I can't feel it, but when i went to take my contacts out it was sooo sore! I need to wear them again tonight but the burn still hasn't worn off even though i've washed them several times, any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Buy a lemon cut it in half and use it as you would a scrubbing brush/ bar of soap as you would if you were washing your hands.

if not wash your hands on something metal i.e. back of a big spoon.

...o and keep your fingers away from your eyes!
And a vinegar will also help - the chili 'heat' is in capsicum oil - so you need to make sure the oil is removed, so the lemon juice, etc will help better than water that only riuns off the skin. Steel also does the trick but not sure about so long after the event - always best to get the chili off as soon as you have used them...
