i have to ask what GAB and LOL mean i keep seeing these and really dont know what they mean sorry for being really thick but can someone explain this to me ?x

mully - as stated above, LOL generally stands for Laugh Out Loud (and sometimes variations on a theme) and it is used all over the internet - sites like this, e-mails, instant messengers etc.

However, GAB is specific to a few members on this site and isn't used anywhere else in the same context. So you needn't concern yourself with that one.

LOL has been used for Little Old Ladies to denote a wolf in sheep's clothing (eg at the card table). Apologies to any LOL's out there but it's really intended as a term of flattery/endearment...

Indie is talking rubbish. GAB doesn't mean anything, and she's just making up the the theory she wrote to hide her own ignorance. Some people just can't accept the fact that some abbreviations just don't stand for anything - like the S in Harry S Truman.
