Motor oil for Ford car

Hi Folk
Is it acceptable to mix fully synthetic 5W-30 with 5W-30 mineral oil and if so what is lightly to happen?

nothing will happen as you put it,but it is not really advisable to mix it,stick with one or the other.
If these are used together they do not mix and end up like the stuff in a lava lamp, and it's not good for your engine.
Stick to one or the other, if you wanna change type, drain the sump first.
Thats interesting noll2themax where did you find that info? I have read that its ok but their seems to be many conflicting views. You can get semi-synthectic oil which is a mix of both but contains no more than 30% fully Synthetic oil so I would of thought its ok but you just need to remember you will be changing the protection properties of each type.
