A man who had his foot ran over by a police car when it mounted the pavement probably expected an apology but it seems he has received more than he bargained for. The police offer who was driving the car that mounted the path and crushed Daniel Horne's foot took him to the hospital and sat with him whilst his foot was examined. Then to Horne's surprise the officer handed over a fixed penalty fine 'to cover himself'. He had written that Daniel had "ran into a marked police vehicle causing a dent." What do you think? How can the police get away with this cheek after they crushed a man's foot?

this is outrages if the man had run over the police officers foot he would have got a term in prison this just shows how bent the coppers are these days
just about sums it all up. If they're anything like the police round my way they probabaly spent the 80 on kebabs on the way home.
no evidence yet that they have got away with it. Now that it's in the papers there will be an investigation and I imagine a few harsh words will be spoken.
If it's the national papers then it doesn't sound much like he got away with it. Don't be so silly.
Link???
Unbelievable.

The copper who did it should be prosecuted and sacked.
Hmmm, they do it so as they dont get investigated and they dont get marked as an RTA...
