Well they range vastly from med school to med school. Some are more formal and some less so. Generic questions include: why medicine? Why here? Why do you think you will be a good doctor? What would you ultimately like to be/ do? What experience of healthcare/ the public have you had ? How have you shown your comittment to medicine? What are your good and bad qualities?

Some may ask you to talk about recent news stories/ journals that you have read about the NHS or health. Others may just want an informal chat about where you live and what your hobbies are. Basically, be yourself, try not to back yourself into any corners eg '' i want to develop a new cure for cancer as my grandad had it and i have been reading all about genes x y and z.'' Bit too regearsed and they may question your motives........ Need to know anything else?
