I need to deliver about 300 or so letters that have all been franked - this is about 4 carrier bags full. Can I just empty them all into the post box or do I need to do something else?
Thanks in advance

Posting franked mail is slightly different to posting stamped mail. Here we explain a few of the basics, but you can read in detail how to send franked mail in the first section of your franking licence.

* You may only post franked mail in the area local to your business as shown on your franking mark
* You must post your franked mail on the date shown and before the last collection time (local opening times and latest acceptance times will apply)
* If you have to include an external return address on your franked mail it will be returned to you if, for any reason, its undeliverable. This saves you wasted postage as well as making sure that youre aware of people whove moved and can update your database accordingly

Unless Royal Mail agrees otherwise in writing, franked items may only be posted in the following ways:

* In pouches posted at a Post Office branch, Royal Mail Enquiry Office or your local Mail Centre
* Split into separate classes and formats in each pouch
* In pouches, trays or containers posted at your local Mail Centre
* In pouches, trays or containers collected from your premises by Royal Mail
* In pouches posted in a Business Post Box marked "franked mail"
* In outer posting envelopes at any normal Post Box if you have a specific low volume model of franking machine.
