PS2 virgin

I am a 42 yr old playstation virgin. I have a console but want to know if someone can recommend a few games to ease myself into gaming. Nothing too complicated to start just a good car racing game and an easy shoot em up game.

You could try one of the Burnouts, they're mostly great.
Can't help with shoot 'em ups, although I've read Global Defense Force is good.

You could also try Ico and We Love Katamari.

Hi i'm almost 45 and I have been playing games from the original Pong days, (those 2 white lines that you could move on the tele were amazing) to the ps3, a great & (imo) one of the best games out there is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas with just about everything you need & more. However Gran Tourismo 4 is the best race game, love Burnout Revenge (not Dominator) great fun for crashing & taking others out. Also for shoot ups Medal of Honor is my fave.
I hope this helps these games should be cheap too!

have you played the ps1 because if you haven't then it's is probably best to start with a ps1 game like spyro the dragon as it is easy peasy
