In total Jomes 2.6 million pounds, how many pound notes no one will ever know, this will go down as the most incompetent robbery of all time
I'd guess that it's zero then.

Perhaps it is was a shipment of �5 (& �10s if they had them then) only, on their way to the incinerator. Or the robbers turned down the oners 'cos their schedule was tight.
Hi Jomes. I've just been having a look for you and according to one report the notes were mostly �1 and �5. The article also mentioned witness' from the bank giving a breakdown of what was taken, so somewhere there must be a figure. I can't find it though :o(
I never can understand the hype that went along with this, the cops identified all the participants within the first week and these idiots are regarded as super brains.

No wonder the jails are overflowing
