Thats very odd. I had loads of problems with Mesh and was advised to consider Dell.
No problems since.

I was told to always buy Sony for quality and didnt get it.

I am sure it is the luck of the draw.
this is the classic question ... the never ending story

I'd go with mesh
Most of the mags love them (most of the time)

evesham are as popular .... but currently looking to merge with a bigger organisation ... so it sounds as if they may be in trouble.

dell are another solid bet
the difference between dell and mesh is dell produce "solid" machines to their own spec ... consistent .... but possibly a little "boring"

mesh tend to be more cutting edge ... hence possible problems (are you feeling lucky? ;-)

my advice would be to get on down to your local supermarket (or magazine shop) - lurk in a corner - read a few mags ... See what they say ... think about it ... then buy what takes your fancy
From what I hear, all parts that need to be replaced on a Dell (including the hard drive) need to be purchased from Dell. To me that means Dell can charge whatever they want for these parts and the customer has no choice but to get it from them and pay it.
