commision changed monthly to weekly
HI hope so one can help..
i work for a company who is changing there commision from monthly to weekly from july .creating 4-4-5-4-4-5 weeks this creates one xtra week in our targets thus creating one xtra month over the coming year , this means in real terms to me that i have to find one xtra month of sales over the year.. am i right, tho our salery is based on pcm..some dates are like 25aug-30sep (not good example )but just to get my point across.. is there any site you know that i can prove this is creating one xtra month of profit for them.. as i do not believe they will lower our target in the 5 week month.. hard to explain this.. hope it makes sense ..

It looks the same to me. If they have 4-4-5 then this is 13 weks and multiplied by four is the 52 weeks of the year. The 3 weeks in the 4-4-5 pattern multiplied by four is 12 - the 12 months of the year you were initially targetted for.
The weekly targetting will give you a target every week so if the month is a four or five week month then it won't make a difference.
E.g target is 10 per week and you have a 4 week month then your target is 40, in a 5 week month your target is 50.
From the information you have posted it looks like the same system but administered in a different way. There are still 52 weeks in the year and there are still 12 monthly periods. In fact it looks fairer than giving the same target for a 28 day months as a 31 day month.
If I've got the wrong end of the stick then please post some more information and I'll have another look at it.

CHanging to weekly targets just focuses the mind more - if you hit your monthly target you will relax. They have simply spread the target over 52 weeks.
As far as I anm aware, there are still 52 weeks in the year and 24 hours in a day, so how they can create an extra month is beyond me. THere have always been 5 week and 4 week months. You could say thatthe poster should be delighted as they have reduced some months to just 4 weeks instead of the 4.3 weeks it actually is
