IF it's the same song i'm thinking of the answer is Fierce - Sweet Love Y2K, the original was by Anita Baker in 1986.

Thanks... but sorry that's not it. My question got a bit cut off for some reason... The full chorus-y bit goes "I need your sweet, sweet, lo-o-ove babe, I need your sweet, sweet, lo-o-ove." I think it's a solo vocal and about 140bpm very very chilled out. aargh pleaase someone!!
