Base for Banoffee Pie

When I make Banoffee Pie I usually make a biscuit crumb base.I have never had it with a pasrty base - which is better in your humble opinions ?

Personally I use a sweet pastry case. I buy them ready made then bung in the chopped banana topped with a tin of Carnation Caramal (it's already caramalised for you) then finish off with whipped cream. Dead easy.

Having said that though my friend prefers a biscuit base.
I usually cheat and buy the ready made sweet pastry cases from Tesco....but i would prefer a biscuit base really.
From an 'eaters' point of view- crumbed biscuit everytime for me. Or even better... crumbed chocolate digestives.
Mmmmmm. Mmmmmmm
Had one once where some ginger nuts had been added to the base mix. Now that was good!
