I have scant knowledge of fashion labels. I want to buy an outfit for a wedding that I can wear again. I like indian inspired designs. I usually buy (often on ebay) in places like monsoon, phase eight, hobbs etc. Can anyone offer up any advice as to where I can get something more interesting than the usual 'wedding' outfit. I'm a guest by the way, not the bride and I'm middle aged but don't want to be a frump. Thank you one and all.

there is a brand called 'nomads' that do quite quirky designs, some are too casual for a wedding but i've got a few formal-type things from them.
Have you got a Lewis or John Lewis near you? I got a lovely linen dress with matching jacket from Lewis last year (but I also saw it in John Lewis). It has interesting cut-out details on it and I don't think it frumpy. I've already worn it to two weddings and it's coming out again for another wedding tomorrow.
