multi vitimins

Ive been taking multivitimins and today I noticed the BBE date was march '07 , Im not dead yet but I wondered how it effected the body or if it was just the tablets were useless.Any ideas !

I almost never look at best before dates. I would just take them. They are unlikely to be any different from how they were when purchased in my opinion.
I dont think they will harm you at all, but the strenght will be weakened ,so you will not get the full benefit.
I asked my dad this question once, he works for a pharmaceutical company. He told me that of course vitamin pills don't go off, but sometimes they can discolour after a while. The producers put a Best Before date onto the bottle just so that people take them before they discolour. But normally the date is so far in the future that it's never an issue. Had the bottle for long?

Thanks for your answers especially soozmac as your dad did work in the trade, the vitimins are still the same colour not faded at all, Iv'e had the bottle about six months ,it was a years supply. - So I guess I wont die then.
