Ok, I have had a cold since about Christmas time!

I had Sinusitis just before Christmas and since then I have suffered with bad sinuses all the time, a tickly cough and sometimes sore eyes! I also thought it could have been hayfever but as I have had it since Chrsitmas I am not so sure!

When I was at the docs the other week I mentioned I had a slight cold and he told me it was Bronchitis, but he was reluctant to give me anything for it! I am getting a bit sick of it all now and just want something I can take that will fully flush it out of my system!

Any ideas?

Try and add some of these herbs to your diet and start cycling to work.

MMaybe you had a cold and now have hayfever. Mine falred up in feb so with sore eyes n all. Try some antihistimines and some eyedrops...worth a shot.
I think you just need colonic irrigation!!!

I have quite a healthy diet! I don't eat processed foods! I eat at least 2 portions of fruit and veg a day... I am constantly eating chillies and garlic which is good for you! I don't think it's a diet problem. I only drink Water.... or fruit juice.. not squash... juice.. like innocent fruit juice. Up until the last few weeks I have been going to the gym... I have wine at the weekends and maybe the odd KFC but apart from that I don't see a problem! I feel very healthy in myself.. it's just this bloomin sinus thing!
colonic irregation!!!!!

Whatever for? For my sinuses? Trust me I don't need it. I eat chillies almost everyday!
Im sure the two are connected somewhere along the line!!
I have a similar thing but its hayfever, its playing havoc on my sinus's, I also have a thumping headache and keep sneezing!!

maybe try an antihystamine??
Sinus washout out might help......have you had a chest xray? blood test? Insist on antibiotics if you have bronchitus. You shouldn't be ill all this time without further investigation
before you try antibiotics - sounds like perennial rhinitis. Try an antihistamine (zirtek are great - 1 a day) along with a nasal spray like beconase. Give it three days and see how you get on.
Yep, antibiotics should be avoided if at all possible, they have a knock on effect on the rest of your immune system that makes you more succeptable to all kinds of infection for weeks afterwards and fuel the spread of superbugs like MRSA.

Thanks everyone! Really I like to try other methods before going straight to the doctors for the usual prescribes dose of antibiotics so I will see what I can find.. then if not perhaps take a visit to the GP!
I agree with whickerman here - Zirtek and Beconase are very good and it does sound like allergic rhinitis which you can get at any time. You could be allergic to dust mites which will mean that you have this reaction all year round not just during the summer

Oh poo! Allergies! That's just rubbish. I might ask in Boots... I have to go there today anyway.
