Hi all, in relation to my previous posting............

I have just used Confused.com to get quotes for insurance and the site did not recognise the number plate.

Is this usual, or should I be suspicious?

You should be very suspicious - it should be on UK registered plates.

there are lots of insurance sites that sometimes do not reconise number plates, confused did not reconise my sons plate, when we did his personal insurance.it could depend on how you spaced the numbers and letters, but its nothing to worry about if you have the V5 and mot and they all tally up.

Thanks for the advice.

I spoke to the garage which gave the original warranty and they have stated that it is a European import, but with a UK spec.
And they were able to pull up the records from the number plate - paperwork was in order so all good news.

Thanks very much.
