Hotel in London (E5)

I am looking for a decent hotel or B&B as close as possible to the Upper Clapton area of London, E5. I've googled and tried a few chain hotels but there seems to be very little accomodation in the area. Those I have found don't have websites or have ratings and I like to have some idea of the standard of accomodation.

I'm not after the Savoy, just somewhere clean and comfortable for 2 nights. Personal recommendations would be ideal, anyone?......
Thanks in advance.

It's obviously not the sort of area where people want to find a hotel - otherwise there would be some.

Have you thought about staying somewhere else, like Islington and driving to Clapton? Or, if no transport,. I think the trains to Clapton go from Liverpool Street (looking at my A-Z) and there will be hotels in that area
I had a look on the internet & found this Sleeping Beauty Motel on Lea Bridge Road E10 near Upper Clapton

as JK2 has stated,it is not that nicer area and therefore there is not a lot of choice over that side of london, but if you were to come a bit closer to london, say in the kings cross area, which is good for transport to E5,you will have more luck.
