Can anyone suggest a good cream to get rid of dry "Elephant" like skin on my knees? They have been like it for as long as I can remember and I tried the usual suspects such as Dove and cocoa butter, its a real eyesore for me in the summer when I want to get my pins out so any advice greatfully received.

Try cream specifically for feet, and not just any old one, but one with 'urea' in it. That'll soften those knees - use it once or twice a day religiously. Worked for me!! :o)

Thanks everyone! I will try all suggestions one week at a time, they will be like babies bottoms before you know it !
Try E45, it's thick and very moisturising and is designed for very dry skin. Available in all chemists and Superdrung, Wilkinson etc.
all of the creams mentioned are best put on after a bath too. try getting one of those exfoliating pads from boots - have a soft pad one side and a doormat type side! give ur knees a good scrub and then slap some cream on after uve got out of the bath. urea based cream is def the best type to use in the beginning
