I am having many problems with my laptop i have asked numerous questions right here since i installed the installation disc for vista the volume button wont work why is this and can someone explain dual boot and i wanna go back to how it was before the..

I wanna go back to ho it was before the installation it says it ceated a windows.old file so i wanna go back but i dont know how.

Also i want to fix my volume but i dont know how.

Here is another question i am so stupid i reinstalled vista by accident LOL it made windows.old and i wanna go back because i has all my file in it so how do i do it??

likley hood is you didnt check that all components on your lap top are compatible with vista?. ie your sound card has incorrect drivers henve volume doesnt work. etc etc etc.
maybe fixable contact manufacturer and ask them for help, or look your self on google.

not always possible to revert, the file is there so you can get at data rather than recover old os, all depends on what options you chose when upgrading

try f8 key just prior to vista loading, you wil actually see "previous operating system" just select and cross your fingers, but i have found this not to wirk very often.

best bet copy "data to cd and just rebuild with xp
