Hi VHelpfulguy

Thanks for the fantstic help on Bit Torrent. Just one other quick question, when testing if my port was forwarded it use to say it had, now it says error...but....my downloads are still working!

Must the ports be forwarded? doesnt make sense, everywhere you look it says that ports must be forwarded for downloads to be achieved, yet mine is not and it is still downloading torrents

You can sometimes save yourself some hassle with manually configuring the ports by turning on uPnP in Azureus, as well as your router. That does the forwarding automatically for you, and may well be why you are managing without doing it manually.
