strange bird behaviour

I have a little bird that has been tapping at my windows every day for the couple of weeks and is still on goin. It flys to each window and taps on it with its beak trying to get. It does this all day every day do you why this is? It knows it cant get in and even with the window open it doesnt fly in. Help.

My brother had the same problem a blue tit found his car window very attractive. it s that time of year and he or she will see the reflection and think its a mate!!! Hopefully it will give up soon!

I agree, it's probably attracted to it's own reflection.
Sometimes birds do the strangest things, the other day I saw a blue tit flying in and out of a bottle bank, presumably checking it out as a nesting site, daft or what ?

I agree, it may think its reflection is a mate or another bird in its territory. The other thing is it may be eating little insects that are attracted to your windows at this time of year.

Thanks for your answers it might be that its just strange that it has chosen my flat and that it hasnt realised that the window is soild and not a bird. The bird is a litttle tit aswel,
Its so annoying tho it starts at about half 5 in the morning till dusk. It is a cute little bird but i dont want it waking me up every morning. haha. I'll get a window cleaner to clean my windows and see if that hepls.
