Partners snoring

Hi all - was hoping someone can give me some advice re my partners night time activity!!

In the five years I have been living with him I have never had a nights sleep.

If he's not snoring he is kicking and lashing out - I am constantly dodging punches and kicks all nite long.

We have a 4 year old daughter and I am constantly exhausted - we both work full time.

When I challenge him about it he just laughs and says I am making it all up - if I dont get this sorted there is going to be a break up and I dont want that.

Any advice would be appreciated

do what i did made my hubby go on shifts ha ha then at least you can get some sleep when hes on nights,my hubby snores really bad sometimes i kick him,there was one time many years ago he drove me that mad with his snoring i got my shoe and hit him on the head,the next day he said his head was sore,i never told him till months later.ive bought him some plaster things that go on his nose,they work abit. i know how you feel you could kill them couldnt you.i was told the other day theres a spry out so im off out tomoz to get it from boots.

we think either, chinese medicine which you can get very easily from the chinese medicine shops-as this cured my uncles teeth grinding in his sleep that kept my aunty awake all nights.it really did work and after 2weeks drinking the concotion everynight he has never done it since! you must take him to the chinese shop so they can ask hi9m questions and make the right medicine. try it!
alternatively there is a special sleep therapy clinic in england that has been featured on onew of the major tv channels bbc or itv, look it up. good luck

footie - First of all, I have just laughed out loud at tradey
Anyway footie, I know this isn't funny! The only thing you can do if you have the room is sleep apart, or buy two single beds & some ear plugs, you can't function without proper sleep! My husband works 3 nights on a rota, on those 3 nights I sleep really soundly! Best of luck!

Try & set up a video camera to catch the action so at least he believes you. Ask your doctor if you can be referred to a sleep disorder clinci, who may be able to give some suggestions.

My husband snores like a pig and completely denied it, and even said I was waking myself up snoring!
This has gone on for 10 years but last month he went to a conference and ended up sharing a room with a colleague. The colleague warned my husband he himself snored, but then next morning said "Wow I snore but you REALLY need to see a doctor"
Suffice to say he has stopped denying it now and goes to the spare room when I ask him. So my advice is go and stay at someones house with really thin walls in the hope he'll move from denial into action -he wont do anything until he admits it!
On a practical note, get him to sleep on his side and not drink and smoke so much if he does that (mine does....).
Also tradey, I have done some MEAN kicking, and also not 'fessed up!!

I can't believe you've lasted this long!
After my husband's snoring and fidgeting in bed I got two single beds and pushed them together to from a king size bed and i wear wax ear plugs from Boots - just wouldn't be without these, they block out all noise and I can nod off into my own little world, plus the fact that we're in separate beds means you don't feel any movement.
