I am trying to find out if Angol Nubian goat babies need to be de budded?? I have been told by some people they do unless I want they to have horns! But someone else has told me these type of goats dont grow horns, I have tried my local goat club but nobody their seems to know as they mainly breed pygmy goats. I have also tried looking on the net but no luck and I have asked my vet who does not know anything about this breed either. Anyone help? Kids are 1 week and the others are 2 days.

From the breed standard:

HORNS
If horned. These should be set wide apart and should sweep backwards without any outward curve.

So therefore they must be debudded if you don't want them to have them.

Thanks for your answer, however vet has come back to us this morning saying that these type of goats dont have horns!! so therefore no need for debudding! Now I really am confused as to which is correct. If you say you got this from the breed standard then surley that is correct??
