Can anyone recommend a good site for a touring caravan in the south of England - we have a baby and a four year old, and want something decent with a few facilities and play area, but not Haven or Butlins kind of thing. Indoor pool would be nice, thanks

I have used a lovely campsite/caravan site called Little Trevothan a number of times. It is on the Lizard in Cornwall (maybe too far south for you?) It is very quiet but has good facilities including a childrens play area, games room etc. - oh and a fish and chip van once a week and a milkman every morning to your door (or tent)

Some of our fussy friends go here every year :

and they still love it as their getaway, UK base.
Ruda in North Devon is a great site. Not to big and just across the road to a wonderful beach. Miles and miles of it.!who could wish for more. Brenda
