how to remove burnt on jam?

i put a redcurrant jelly sauce over some lamb, put a plate over the top and the sauce overflowed. i am now struggling to remove this burnt on jam on the bottom of my oven which has obviously cooked to perfection for over an hour. mr muscle does not really touch it as it is so thick. any ideas welcome!

You'll have to scrape it off I would think
Sorry, not an answer to your problem,but future use thought I'd just let you know what I do.On the bottom of the oven I use one of the Teflon non stick baking sheets.If anything spills on it just take out and wash. They're brilliant.

I find that Oven Pride is the best thing for impossible oven spills. You get it in Tescos or Sainsburys but wear your Marigolds - it is so strong it really can burn! Good luck.
The cheapest way is to use caustic soda.
Put some COLD water in a bucket and add the caustic soda slowly. The water will heat up as you add more caustic soda. The appropriate quantities will be printed on the outside of the container. Apply it to the jam and leave it for an hour. Most of the jam will come off. Repeat until all the jam comes off.
Throughout this task you MUST wear rubber gloves.
