is guiness ok for diabetics?

i know it must have some sugar in it, but does this turn to alcohol?

Don't take this as gospel, as I admitedly know very little about the do's and dont's of diabetic diets, however I work in a bar and know of several customers who are diabetic and they all drink guiness as there tiple of choice- in moderation- naturally!! Like I said though, this is just an obsevation, so probably best to consult a professional.
My husband is diabetic and likes to drink Guiness when his blood sugar is getting low. Whatever you do, do not drink alcohol when your blood sugar is very low as this will bring on a coma. I know - it happened!
